Dear SAP-VN Supporters and Volunteers,
The Board of Directors of SAP-VN are pleased to announce that Dr. Thuận Trần and Mr. Hiếu Trần have been elected as the new board members in our recent election, serving a three year term.
Dr. Thuận Trần and Mr Hiếu Trần have the following messages to SAP-VN supporters and volunteers.
I graduated from UC San Francisco School of Medicine in 1983, completed my residency in Family Practice in 1986, and have been practicing at Kaiser Permanente since then.
I have been participated in several medical missions to Vietnam, first with Project Vietnam Foundation from 2004 to 2009, then SAP-VN from 2012 until now.
It is my honor to accept the nomination for a position in SAP VN Board of Directors. I appreciate the recognition and trust that Board members have in me and will do my best to serve our organization. I am looking forward to working with you over the next 3 years.
Thuan Tran, MD
Dear SAP-VN Volunteers and Donors,
I am excited and honored to join the Board of Directors of SAP-VN!
I have known SAP-VN and have followed its success stories for quite a number of years; and through the introduction of anh Đạt and chị Chilan, I got more involved and pleasantly ran into some familiar faces, such as anh Thành and Hưng, whom we had worked together through the early years of Project Ngọc, chi Phượng Châu, for organizing those Đại Hội Văn Nghệ Thuyền Nhân way back in the 1980's, and Thịnh, for showcasing his music talent at Quán Nhớ at UCI. And in 2016, our family of five participated with the mobile health care mission up the mountains of Quảng Ngãi. There, observing first hand the desperate medical and dental needs of the poor, especially of the handicapped children, our hearts were deeply touched!
A bit about myself, I have grown up and lived in Orange County for almost 40 years. Through my 20+ year career, I have held senior management roles within start-up, mid-size companies to multi-billion dollar global enterprises, specializing in Information Technology, Quality, Operations, organizational planning and business transformation.
I look forward to working with SAP-VN volunteers to extend the reach of SAP-VN both in Vietnam and within the Vietnamese community, as well as helping to bring in and develop more young volunteers to take on leadership roles.
Congratulations Dr. Thuan Tran and Mr. Hieu Tran!
The Board of Directors of SAP-VN
